OUR HISTORY
It’s 1940, a difficult historical period previous to the great reconstruction of the Italian economy and a period in which
the spirit of enterprise and the passion for practical knowledge were worth more than monetary capitals in the
establishment of enterprises.
During this war period, because of the difficulties in finding specific products, Irmo Bellucci decided to open a business activity in the premises adjacent to his own house with the aim of supporting the dairy industry and in particular the
production of cheese-rennet.
Since the very beginning, the new business activity reached very positive results following the dairy industry’s great
expansion and developed a widespread service for milk treatment, from milking to milk transformation.
However, after a short period of time, it became necessary to specialize in cheese-rennet production in order to
supply the dairy industry with better processing aids in comparison with those that had been commercialized until that
moment. Irmo understood that going to this direction many improvements had still to be done to satisfy the market :
from here, the engagement that Caglio Bellucci has been supporting for years to supply diaries with a more and more specialized quality product, as for continuity in concentration and in purity.

Since than, both the economic situation and technical knowledge have considerably changed:
the production which started in small domestic premises, moved during the years to more and more suitable facilities,
which have been intentionally created according to the law and to all regulations in force. The method for the extraction
and preparation of cheese-rennet, founded on the basics introduced by Commendator Irmo Bellucci, has
implemented and improved through the most advanced technology and knowledge available on the world market.
Production has been continuously monitored by controls and analyses carried out in the laboratories of Caglio Bellucci,
where chemists and biologists constantly examine the production and evaluate new possible productive innovations.
He who visits today Caglio Bellucci can find a well-qualified staff capable of combining experience and technology
to reach what represents our main goal since sixty years:
